In an effort to modernize its promoting merchandise, Google is retiring the textual content-solely AdSense advert unit.

Google notified AdSense publishers about this transformation through e-mail:

“We’re moving towards richer ad formats, phasing out text-only and display-only ad units to further improve user experience, and to fully reflect the pool of ads we have in the market.”

Google AdSense will routinely rename current “Text ads only” and “Display ads only” to merely “Display ads.”

In addition to sunsetting textual content-solely advertisements, Google introduced a number of different modifications to AdSense advertisements that are rolling out within the coming weeks.

Here’s a abstract of all the things that was introduced within the e-mail:

Google notes that it has been investing closely in understanding the perfect methods to enhance consumer curiosity in advertisements.

Presumably, these modifications are designed to make advertisements extra interesting to customers, which can then leads to extra clicks and earnings for AdSense publishers.
